Step up 2 The Streets lead star and Jericho Rosales in a movie?

Yep! you heard it right. Our very own Jericho Rosales is the leading man of Step Up 2 the Streets' lead star, Briana Evigan in their upcoming movie titled I Luv U Virus. The movie is to be filmed here in the Philippines and it was said that she's already here in the Philippines. She arrived here on March 6.. i heard..and it is said that she's going to stay here for 4 weeks.

There were several others who auditioned for the leading man of Briana but it was Jericho who earned the spot. Fil-Am director Francis dela Torre was the one who saw Jericho during his concert in Metrophi in Metrowalk. The director was accompanied by his American friend and to-be director of photography of the film and he too liked Jericho.

The movie is said to be a romantic comedy based on the I LUV U computer virus which wreaked havoc on pc’s in the 90’s made by a Filipino. hhhmmm..It is only now that I have discovered that it was a filipino who created that virus. I remembered even recieving one, but i ignored and deleted it thinking it was just spam, luckily! haha..What I know with this virus is that it arrives as an e-mail with the subject line "I Love You" and an attachment named "Love-Letter-For-You.txt.vbs." Opening the attachment infects your computer. The infection first scans your PC's memory for passwords, which are sent back to the virus's creator (a Web site in the Philippines which has since been shut down). The infection then replicates itself to everyone in your Outlook address book. Finally, the infection corrupts files ending with .vbs, .vbe, .js, .css, .wsh, .sct, .hta, .jpg, .jpeg, .mp2, .mp3 by overwriting them with a copy of itself.

Hhhmmm..so much for the love letter if it will only cost ur computer's life! haha..oh well..going back to the movie, Im not sure if it will be a good one but I would definitely be looking forward to watching it. It's good to know that one of our own filipino artists would be seen in an international movie. I just wish it wouldn't be so bad.. *crossing mah fingers*

Step Up 2 The Streets

Step Up 2 the Streets is the sequel to 2006's Step Up. It's the story of a 16-year-old street dancer Andie West (Briana Evigan). After her mother died, she was taken in by her mother's best friend, Sarah (Sonja Sohn). Since West often skips school and spends too much time as member of the notorious dance crew 410, Sarah wants her to live with her aunt in Texas.

However, her friend and older brother figure, Tyler Gage (Channing Tatum) convinces Sarah to give her another chance, by auditioning for the Maryland School of the Arts. Though the director of the school was hesitant to accept Andie, she was still accepted. Due to her school commitments she misses several 410 rehearsals, until they decided to throw her out. She assembles a new crew of classmates that includes Chase Collins (Robert Hoffman), the school's best dancer; they practice clandestinely in the school after school hours, to compete against the 410 in Baltimore's underground dance battle, The Streets.

After a humiliating prank from MSA, the 410 crew attacks Chase and vandalizes the school, after which Blake Collins (Will Kemp), the director of the school and Chase's big brother, throws out West and forbids the school's students to participate in any competitions like The Streets. They went to the building where the event takes place anyway, but the 410 won't let them compete, and the crowd agrees. But since MSA believes the streets is more than just for dancing, they went to the streets, where dancing really started, and performed under the pouring rain. Blake, who was observing, was impressed enough to allow West to return to the school, and integrate the dance style into the school program.

After watching this movie, I must say this is the best dance movie I've ever seen yet! The final showcase was superb not to mention Briana Evigan and Robert Hoffman's chemistry in dancing. What I like most is that Channing Tatum, the lead dancing hottie in Step up was also in the movie to give it a transitional flow from Step Up to Step Up 2 The Streets. Moose, played by Adam Sevani got my attention in his "The Way I Are" dance. haha.. he was so0o cute doin' it! This is surely a must see movie!
